Were C3 Corvettes made in significantly different lengths?
Maybe it is the photo angles, lots of yank-tanks look great from most angles but then another makes a different appearance. Some of these Corvettes look too long.
Yes I thought the earlier ones were nicer than the later. I think the one used in the film Corvette Summer looked fantastic, not seen the film but Classic American magazine had some pictures of it, and it's precarious years that followed before becoming a museum piece, like it should have been all along.

Chevy engine I.D ?
I have bought a small block Chevy 350 engine & Th350 trans from a 1981 C3 Corvette. I'm having trouble identifying it. I don't think it's the original. The engine # is V0809800 there is also a casting # at the rear of the block 14016379. Can anyone out there help to I.D this motor? i have tried the usual sites but the closest I can get is it may be a '79'. Any more info would be appreciated. Thanks

You can see my problem. The 'only' # is the one I've given, there is no other number on the pad at the the passenger side of the block!

Attention all car guys: Question about a C3 Corvette Christmas Gift?
I am buying my boyfriend a neon Corvette clock for his garage for Christmas. He just started rebuilding a '68 corvette, which is a C3...how important is it that the emblem on the clock is C3 and not C5 or C6. The C3 clock is classic style, white face, chrome frame and blue neon. But I really like the look of the C5 and C6 clocks which are black face, chrome, red neon. I know he wants a neon clock in his garage so to all you car guys out there, which one would you go with? Thanks!!
